Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian actress and model who works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. Born on June 19, 1985, in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), Maharashtra, into a Punjabi Hindu family to Vinay Aggarwal and Suman Aggarwal, she completed her schooling at St. Anne's High School, Colaba. She pursued her graduation in Mass Media specializing in Marketing and Advertising from Kishinchand Chellaram College (KC College), Mumbai. While actively modeling during her college years, she made a brief screen appearance in the Hindi film *Kyun! Ho Gaya Na...* (2004) before making her lead acting debut in Teja's Telugu romantic drama *Lakshmi Kalyanam* (2007) opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, followed by her Tamil debut in *Pazhani* (2008). Kajal achieved monumental stardom and career-defining critical and commercial success portraying Yuvarani Mitravinda and Indira in S. S. Rajamouli's fantasy action epic *Magadheera* (2009) opposite Ram Charan, earning her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu nomination.
