Tamannaah Bhatia, known mononymously as Tamannaah, is an Indian actress, model, and dancer who works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. Born on December 21, 1989, in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), Maharashtra, to Santosh and Rajani Bhatia into a Sindhi Hindu family, she completed her schooling at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Juhu. Having trained in theater at Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre and appeared in Abhijeet Sawant's music video "Lafzon Mein", she made her acting debut at age 15 in the Hindi film *Chand Sa Roshan Chehra* (2005). She swiftly entered South Indian cinema the same year with her Telugu debut *Sri* (2005) and Tamil debut *Kedi* (2006), achieving major breakthrough acclaim with Sekhar Kammula's coming-of-age blockbuster *Happy Days* (2007) and Balaji Sakthivel's Tamil drama *Kalloori* (2007).
